This program provides high school students from Morocco and the United States the opportunity to build meaningful cross-cultural relationships through a virtual experience centered around the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Designed for mutual learning, students participate and sometimes lead a variety of synchronous learning engagements that scaffold small group offline project work. Students will come away with:
- The ability to communicate and collaborate with students from a country whose culture, traditions, and society are markedly different from their own.
- New understanding of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, including their purpose, distinct objectives, challenges, and implementation in both the United States and Morocco.
- A clearer understanding of their passions and curiosities of global issues.
This program is the result of a collaboration between Envoys and the Global Education Benchmark Group, a leading non-profit organization of K-12 schools that researches and establishes best practices in the field of global education and supports member schools to prepare students to thrive in increasingly interconnected world systems.
