Seeking a Sustainable World

This program provides high school students from Morocco and the United States the opportunity to build meaningful cross-cultural relationships through a virtual experience centered around the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Designed for mutual learning, students participate and sometimes lead a variety of synchronous learning engagements that scaffold small group offline project work. Students will come away with:

  1. The ability to communicate and collaborate with students from a country whose culture, traditions, and society are markedly different from their own.
  2. New understanding of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, including their purpose, distinct objectives, challenges, and implementation in both the United States and Morocco.
  3. A clearer understanding of their passions and curiosities of global issues.

This program is the result of a collaboration between Envoys and the Global Education Benchmark Group, a leading non-profit organization of K-12 schools that researches and establishes best practices in the field of global education and supports member schools to prepare students to thrive in increasingly interconnected world systems.
